Merryweathers are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). All our surveyors are fully qualified members of the RICS and are RICS Registered Valuers specialising in the full spectrum of property types, from Residential to Commercial to Rural land and property. Between them, our surveyors have over 70 years experience of inspecting, managing and valuing property throughout South Yorkshire and the surrounding area.
Chris Brierley MRICS
Chris heads our Residential Survey Department. He joined Merryweathers in 1989 and has vast experience of residential surveys and valuations and now has extensive knowledge of the local area.

Chris is also a member of the National Association of Estate Agents and is registered with the UK Register of Expert Witnesses. He has acted as an Expert Witness in many residential valuation cases and is now very experienced in providing Expert Witness Reports that are fully compliant with the rules and regulations required for Court Proceedings.

Steven Empson MRICS
Steven joined Merryweathers in 2009 having worked in the estate agency and surveying profession since 1992 and specialises in residential property, currently managing our Residential Sales Office in Doncaster. Steven has many years of experience of valuing and surveying property throughout South Yorkshire, parts of Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

Peter Horne FRICS
Peter heads our Rural Department of our Professional Services Team. We advise rural landowners, farmers and other land user clients throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
The Rural Department acts for many individual client farmers dealing with a variety of issues. Valuations are undertaken for all matters affecting rural property. Peter Horne of the Rural Department also acts as an Arbitrator in rural matters together with acting as an Expert Witness in litigation and other matters.

Nick Wilson MRICS
Nick joined Merryweathers in 2009 and specialises in Commercial property. Nick has many years of experience of managing commercial property and now heads our Commercial Department dealing with the sale, letting, management and valuation of Retail, Office, Industrial and other Commercial Property.
